Back to Mavericks : problem

Hi,

I'm under mac osx yosemite since weeks and i'v tried to upgrade my 1password in v5 for yosemite. My phone is under iOS 8. The data of 1password are located on iCloud Drive.

Today i decided to downgrade my mac to mavericks. So i install 1password 4. Problem, it doesn't sync. I suppose that the data aren't compatible anymore with 1password 4 / Mavericks.

Is there a way for me to make working my configuration with 2 devices sharing the same data which is running actually under the iPhone :

  • OS X Mavericks with 1password 4
  • iPhone iOS 8 with 1password

    Hi @fredoo,

    You're correct - iCloud sync won't work between 1Password 4 and 1Password 5, because version 5 uses Apple's new CloudKit technology for iCloud sync, which isn't compatible with version 4. If you're curious, we have more information about that in our iCloud FAQ.

    But don't worry, you can still sync your 1Password data between your Mac and iPhone, you'll just need to switch to Dropbox or Wi-Fi sync:

    Dropbox sync might be the better option for you, as it's similar to iCloud sync. If you need any help getting setup with Dropbox or Wi-Fi sync, just let us know! :)
