Problems with browser plugin when behind proxy
Hi,
I have a problem that exhibits itself when I'm on my work corporate network behind a proxy server. When I'm connected to this network, all HTTP(S) traffic uses a proxy server.
It appears that when this is the case, the browser (I'm using Chrome) plug-ins don't appear to know that the main software is installed and/or connected correctly. Clicking the button in the browser, spawns a new browser tab and attempts to make the connection, which then reports that 1Password isn't installed.
I can resolve this by temporarily connecting to a network where there is no proxy.
is there a problem with the software that on 1st attempt to run doesn't detect and use the web proxy or is there something else going on, perhaps not even related to the presence of a proxy, that's causing this.
Can provide more info if required.
Thanks in advance,
Ian

Hi @istacey
Proxies can indeed be a problem as can VPNs and anything else that can affects communication by websockets. The 1Password extension works by communicating with 1Password mini with a websocket using the loopback or localhost address. So if you can set up your proxy to ignore 127.0.0.1 you should be fine.
