Constant Syncing in WiFi sync mode between Mac and iOS
I am using the latest version of Yosemite and iOS 8, and 1Password 5.0.2, and perform all of my SYNC in WiFi mode. When I connect my iOS devices, the connection starts and then SYNC just continues and continues...If I shut down 1Password on the iOS device, the syncing stops, but if not, the circle just spins and spins. It appears that the files actually do synchronize but the iOS device says "never synced" and in my iOS devices, the number (of items) does not correlate with each other. In all the years of using the product, this has never happened. I've reset the secret code, and have done whatever I know to resolve this, with no solution. Could there be something in one of my 1Password items that is causing the sync process to stall, and if anyone knows what it could be, can you please help. I do occasionally put attachments like jpeg and pdf files in there.

Try this:
- disable wifi sync on all your devices (including the Mac) then re-enable it and see if that helps;
- if it doesn't try then rebooting all your devices (including the Mac).
I'm assuming all devices are on the same wifi network.

I've done all of that. My (uneducated) guess is that there is something in one of my entries that is stalling the process. I just don't know where to start because I have so many entries and they're changing all the time. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any conflicts with information in files, especially attachments. This began simultaneously with the upgrade to 5.0.2, purchase of new iOS device, and revision of attachments in files. SO I screwed up by not doing one at a time. Beginners mistake that I knew better than doing!

Hi @jerryinal
I'm aware of a bug relating to attachments and Wi-Fi Syncing but it didn't stop syncing occurring (it's just attachments didn't sync as they are meant to).
I see have a couple of things we could try.
- We could see what happens if you were to try using a different from of sync method like Dropbox.
- If you prefer not to use cloud services can I ask, is there anything on your iOS devices that isn't on your Mac? You mention devices, as in plural, so I was wondering if we could see what happens if we clear 1Password on one iOS device and perform a clean Wi-Fi Sync. That's only possible though if you know for certain one of the iOS devices doesn't hold any new or changed items not present elsewhere. One easy way to know is if you happen to only make changes on your Mac.
If you're uneasy with either of those options just say and we'll see what else we can think of.

I will try the clean sync option first. I will need to backup the device and I will need to go through to see iff all items are on the mac. then I will try and let you know. THanks for the help, I really rely on this program every day.

Hi @jerryinal,
Sync saw a lot of work in the upcoming 5.1 release, and I suspect that the problem you encountered has been fixed. We fixed a few issues that caused Wi-Fi sync to get stuck in a loop. We hope to see those releases get shipped soon.
