Forgot Master Password for version 5

Attempted to do as suggested in https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac-kb/5/en/topic/starting-over

but it hasnt reinstalled itself? Whats the best option - to remove everything to do with it and download again?

    Did you follow exactly what the guide said (in particular about initially quitting 1P using ⌃⌘Q)?

    What does that mean, please? Do you mean you can't re-download and re-install? What version of 1P5 were you running: that from the Mac App Store or that which you bought from the AgileBits store?

    Hi @Thebatlord,

    In addition to what Stephen asked, can you please elaborate on what happens after you follow the "Starting over" steps? When you open 1Password after that, does it still ask for your master password? If so, it sounds like you may not have removed the correct folders/files as described in those steps.
