Safari extension just stopped working...
...so I uninstalled it, quit Safari, reinstalled it, launched Safari, and it still doesn't work. The logins still appear, but the ability to paste and auto-return (the whole point) is gone. And now when I launch the 1Password app, the window's blank (except for the logo) and I get the spinning beach ball until I force quit. I didn't to anything to precipitate this. Help quickly please.

I apologise for the delay in responding to your thread.
The first thing I would recommend is dragging the 1Password application (and just the application) to your Trash. Reboot your machine and then download a fresh copy of 1Password from the same place you purchased it, so if you purchased directly from us download it via our AgileBits Download page and if you purchased it from Apple you would want to download it via Apple's App Store application on your Mac. When you drag just the application to the Trash it won't touch 1Password's support files which also contains your vault.
That will hopefully take care of what I consider the more pressing matter of being able to open 1Password. Once we get that sorted we can work on the extension issue. Please let us know how you get along and if you see any difference in the extension once you have a properly working copy of 1Password.
