Can't get 1Password to sync, using Dropbox. I've deleted the Dropbox folder, it is automatically restored, my password for dropbox is good (works on a second computer), but no longer works on computer on which I recently upgraded to Yosemite, and 1Password v5.

  • If your password for DropBox doesn't work on one computer, I suggest reinstalling the DropBox software. If that doesn't work, have you tried contacting DropBox technical support?

Once you have that figured out, what error message do you get when trying to setup 1Password sync with DropBox?

Please do not delete the Dropbox folder on any linked machine, that deletion event may propagate across all machine's and you will need to ask Dropbox support for a rollback. If you wish to start over we can help you with that in the Dropbox forums. https://dropboxforum.com

    • The folder should be automatically restored by the sever. This is the intended result vs the result I mentioned at first.

As @hayesk‌ mentioned it will not hurt to install the newest version from https://www.dropbox.com/install

Dropbox may have revoked your password... They do this on occasion. Visit https://www.dropbox.com/en/help/168 for details on reseting you password, if you need to do this.

    • To me, it honestly sounds as if you need to fix the password issue and thats the main culprit in getting everything setup properly. Including the 1Password sync. There is no reason a password will work on one machine and not the other. True a machine may work from some time ago because you linked it to Dropbox some time in the past. That new machine is not working because the password may have been revoked. This will prevent you from linking and prevent 1Password from syncing properly.
