Pictures/files Categories are needed in the Vault

Hello,
I recently purchased 1password, and I love it. Thank you for the useful app. My one complaint is that the vault is too structured, so I am unable to securely store everything I would like to.

I believe there really needs to be a secure pictures/images and files option in the Vault. For example, I could store the picture of my passport instead of all the information on my passport; and my passport would be that much more legitimate if I ever needed to show someone a copy (as opposed to just the information on the passport). Other password apps on the Iphone app service are allowing storage of pictures and documents, so why not 1Password? Furthermore, I prefer taking pictures of my time sheets and some of my valuable documents to keep them secure and handy, so I would prefer to keep them safe and secure with this application.

Thank you for your consideration,
Brendan

You can store attachments to 1P items, of course. I have a scan of the relevant pages of my passport attached to my passport item in 1Password for the very reason you mention.

However, 1P is not primarily an image (or document) storage app, of course. One reason for that is that it would substantially slow sync of 1P data to any other device. So, in effect, you can do what you want (even if the categories at present may not be quite what you want) but 1P isn't tailored to encourage that sort of thing, for good reason.

    Hi Brendan ( @JetSkier913 ),

I hope that Stephen_C's answer has helped you out. He's pretty much spot on. It's awesome to hear that you want to use 1Password to store all kinds of data. You can indeed store attachments in 1Password, but it's not necessarily designed to store multiple documents and files.

I'm sorry that I don't have a better answer for you here, but please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns!
