Reformatted Disk, Can't find my .agilekeychain or .opvault file
Hi, Mac was very slow so I re-formatted my HD, installed Yosemite and updated to 1Password 5. (I had backed-up the HD first).
After all of this, I start 1Password 5, choose "existing user" and can not find the .agilekeychain or .opvault files.
I do have my 1Password4 folder and com.agilebits.onepassword4.list and 2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword4-helper.plist files. (The back-up files in this folder do not seem to work).
I REALLY do not want to re-pay for 1Password -- anyway I can salvage this situation? Thank you so much.

Hi @mjshan
So just to start, your vault and your licence are completely separate. Your vault is the container for your data and if you ever lose every copy of your vault then it's gone - there's nothing we can do. Your licence file is only for informing this copy of 1Password that it is a licensed copy and that you're a legitimate customer. That's also important but I suspect you consider your vault's contents more so.
In your
1Password 4
folder, do you have aData
folder containing a file titledOnePassword.sqlite
? That's your vault in 1Password 4/5 but it isn't in a format that you can directly import. What might work though is if you ensure 1Password or 1Password mini isn't running. The easiest way to do this if you launch 1Password and then use the keyboard shortcut
⌃⌘Q
which quits both. Having done so you can try copying over the entire folder and .plist files into their 'correct' place on the new machine. Just to be safe follow it up with a reboot of the machine. With a little luck, and assuming none of the important files have been damaged, you should be able to open 1Password just as it was prior to reformatting the drive. If you have any questions or issues then please do ask here and we'll do our best to respond and get you up and running again
