Sharing 1 Database across 2 Users & 2 Apple IDs

Is is possible to share one 1password database via iCloud across two users with different Apple IDs? I guessing the answer is "no" and that we must shift to a dropbox sync in order to accomplish the task? Is support for this being worked on? I simply find the iCloud sync to be extremely convenient across all my Apple Devices.

Your guess is correct. If data in iCloud are to be shared, everyone must be logged in there with the same Apple ID. I'm not a developer or anyone with inside information about AgileBits's plans, but I think this limitation is Apple's, not one from the developers. Clearly, there is no barrier to sharing like you wish, since you can so so with Dropbox.

I've used both Dropbox and iCloud in the past, and I didn't notice any difference in convenience between the two. I now use Dropbox, because my license came from the Agilebits web store, and Apple, in their "wisdom," decided not to allow iCloud syncing unless the license is purchased from Apple.

    Hi @ewrrod‌

hawkmoth is quite correct. At the moment it is impossible to share your vault between Apple IDs and it will require a significant change by Apple before that could ever change. Unlike iCloud, Dropbox allows you to share folders between Dropbox accounts which sounds like exactly what you want to achieve.

If you have any further questions do please ask
