Problems with certain web sites

Thanks for 1Password!

Problems with some sites, only a few, but 1Password and the site just don't cooperate.

Agilebits, can you do anything with such sites? Can you help us to know what to say to such sites? Do you have a page we can point the site owners to?

Current Example: http://www.reidreviews.com/login.asp (a pro photographer's gear review site). Problem: I can't get 1Password to save the password automatically, only the userid. (I can get the password into 1PW by editing the login item.)

On the site you mention have you tried re-creating and saving the login manually? That does often solve problems like the one you mention.

    I'm assuming you're using 1P4 or 1P5.

    Hi @SallyShears‌

As Stephen_C suggests, Saving a New Login Manually often helps with sites that are being tricky, as it helps 1Password to learn exactly which fields need to be filled. Of course, if a website has used some unique methods for naming their fields, then 1Password might not always get it quite right.

In the case of Reid Reviews, there's definitely something a little odd going on here, so I've filed a request with our filling gurus to see if we can improve 1Password's behaviour on this site.

    Hi @SallyShears‌,

I wanted to let you know that the issue with the Password field not being saved/filled on the http://www.reidreviews.com/login.asp page has been fixed with 1Password 5.3.BETA-11 and the 4.3.0.BETA-9 browser extension. In addition to that, the next non-beta app and extension updates will include other changes that we hope help 1Password cooperate with other sites where it's been giving you trouble.
