Installation of a multi-seat license

I just purchased a Mac/Windows license bundle for 2 employees, two additional Windows-only licenses and a 22-seat license for our Mac only users. What I actually received was a 2-seat Mac license, another 22 seat Mac license and then two 2-seat Windows licenses.

The Windows licenses are pretty straightforward to deal with since it's just a code. However, I have no idea how to distribute the license files to the Mac users. I can't find any documentation on this. Can you please clarify how I should instruct them to handle this? Thanks.

    Hi @potatomaster‌,

Thanks so much for taking the time to write to us

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing issues licensing 1Password 5 for Mac.

1Password for does not use a license code like 1Password for Windows, it uses a license file.

So let's try the following steps to get you and your employees started.

    1. Click on the direct link to your 22 seat license which I sent you in a private message. You should now have your license file in your /Downloads folder.
    2. Double-click on the license file. This will license 1Password and will create a new 1Password Software License item in your 1Password vault.
    3. Use the share menu and email your license to all your employees (see the screenshot bellow).

    1. Your employees will receive an email with a link, that once clicked will add the license in 1Password as a Software License item into their vault.
    2. Your employees should double-click on the license file attachment to license 1Password (see the screenshot bellow).

Please let us know if this helps

    Cheers!
