1Password no longer works
I keep getting the following message despite re-downloanding the app:
1Password 5 cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer etc etc
This happened this morning and then I updated to the latest Yosemite and that didn't help.
Please can anyone advise?

I deleted the app. Re-started the computer, Re-downloaded it and now it appears to be working. I had updated the app, and Yosemite, so something must have gone awry!
Working now!

Hi @Jjoanna, we've had some issues with updates not working correctly. Your solution is exactly what we suggest in these instances so I'm glad you managed to resolve this

Just to chime in, I had trouble with the app crashing on Yosemite (10.10.2) this morning. Deleting the app and downloading a fresh copy didn't seem to be working so I used AppCleaner to delete everything associated with 1Password5 and started over. Everything seems to be fine now.
Oddly, I didn't have trouble with the MacBook I use for work. Just the MacBook Air at the house.

Hi @Daniel H,
I'm sorry you also ran into this problem, but happy to hear you were able to solve it! Our developers are looking into this issue and will hopefully be able to prevent this from happening in the future.
To solve this issue, I usually recommend deleting the 1Password app, emptying the Trash, and restarting the Mac before downloading a new copy of 1Password. If you had just deleted & re-downloaded it (without emptying Trash and/or rebooting the Mac), that might explain why it didn't work for you.
Please note that if for some reason you run into this or a similar issue in the future, we strongly recommend you do not use any cleaning tools to delete 1Password, as you could lose your backups or data file for 1Password. Fortunately it sounds like everything worked out ok this time, but please be very careful if you decide to do that again in the future.
If you need anything else, we're here for you! :)
