1Password Hangs with firefox

I have installed Forefox 35.0.1 and my version of 1Password is 5.1. I installed the extension but when I click on 1P and enter my master password it just hangs counting down the seconds.

It still works OK in Safari but wanted to try Firefox .

any advice would be appreciated.

    That's an odd error that I haven't seen in a while ... it reminds me of the "good" old days of 1Password 3! Could you please take a look in Firefox's extensions pane and let me know what the extension's version number is? Sounds to me like you might be using the 1Password 3 extension. If that's the case, we have instructions on how to uninstall 1Password 3 browser extensions so that you can use the new and compatible version for 1Password 5 (found on our extension download page).
