5.1 - Why Does It Keep Asking to Save Passwords?

I've been using 1Password for a long time, since perhaps version 2.

It continually asks me to save a password for sites where passwords have already been saved. As a result many of my sites have several passwords saved in the database.

Why doesn't it learn what sites have been saved? This behavior is now becoming a deal-breaker for me - I'm ready to dump this program.

    Please check the URLs of the sites you that are giving trouble. It's likely the URL for a new saved site is not exactly the same as that for the old saved site.

    Note that in any event you can go to 1P > Preferences > Browser and un-check Automatically ask to save new Logins if you don't want to be prompted.

    Hi @ElDuderino,

    If Stephen_C's post didn't help could you supply a little more information please. If 1Password see you have a Login stored already it shouldn't be asking so definitely worth investigating.

    Being set in my ways I normally have it completely turned off. I can't help it, I want to add things as I see fit (I believe the phrase refers to an old dog :wink:)
