Chrome Extension not working with Mac 10.9.2 using 1Password4

Hi,

I have installed the 1Password4 (Mavericks verison 10.9) and have also installed the Chrome extension but when I click the extension icon for passwords it comes up with a box saying 'Looking for the 1Password App' and won't go any further.

What am I doing wrong?

Please help.

    Hi @drog1998,

    Do you have any anti-virus, firewalls, parental blocking software or proxy servers being used? The 1Password browser extension talks to 1Password mini via a web socket. So obviously that means 1Password mini must be running but also that if anything is blocking communication between the extension and mini then that would affect it too. Most instances are remedied by either creating an exemption for 1Password mini or allowing communication on 127.0.0.1 which is the localhost. Allowing that isn't a security risk as nothing leaves the machine.
