Safari Extension Keeps Disappearing
I'm using 1Password 5 (from App Store) and Safari 8.0.3, and I've started to run into problems ever since I created a separate user for work purposes. I have two user profiles (both admin) on my MBP (one for work, one for personal). I'm using one 1Password vault kept on iCloud.
The Safari extension keeps disappearing. I've run into other problems, which are temporarily resolved if I delete and reinstall 1Password. However, I'd like a permanent fix.
What's the best way to use the same vault through all my devices (MBP, iPhone, iPad) while also using the same vault for both users on my MBP?

If you set up both accounts to use the same Apple ID then iCloud is a good a way as any to access your vault over all of your devices and even over user accounts like you're doing. The other option would be to use Wi-Fi Sync on one account to keep your iOS devices synced and then use Folder Sync and the Shared folder all OS X machines have to keep the user accounts in sync. Now that has it's own issues because the folder doesn't have the right defaults for allowing all users to read/write all the contents. I have the command you need to run but as you can see, iCloud is probably easier and you're already using it.
I am surprised at the issues you're having in this second user account, there shouldn't be any reason for it to work properly in one and not the other, just as you're expecting it to. Even stranger given it's a nice fresh user account without any of your typical cruft built up over the years.
- Are you using fast user switching, does the issue persist if you completely log out of one account before entering the other? I don't mean for this to be a fix, just an attempt to see if we can isolate where the issue is.
- With the extension, have you tried completely uninstalling it, rebooting and then installing it again?
- Is there any pattern to the extension's disappearance? For that matter, is it just the icon is disappearing or is it that 1Password mini can't find the extension and you can no longer fill at all? e.g. does the
⌘\
keyboard shortcut for filling in a web page stop working entirely? - Can you describe the issues in a little more depth please that lead you to removing and reinstalling the entire 1Password application. Certainly you shouldn't have to so I understand why you'd want a permanent fix.

Thank you for your response and suggestion. I deleted the 'Safari Extensions List' from Keychain Access. Fingers crossed, but I think I may have resolved the issue. Thanks, again!
