Merging Data
Hello
My wife and I share a vault but seem to have gotten out of sync when her drop box became full. How can I go about merging her data and mine so we can continue to share a single vault?

If your wife exceeded her Dropbox storage limit, that would have caused Dropbox to stop syncing changes to/from the Dropbox folder on her Mac. So the first thing she'll need to do is clear up some space in her Dropbox account so she gets back under the limit. Once she does that, she can check to make sure her Dropbox account is syncing again by moving a small file to her Dropbox folder, then logging into her account on Dropbox.com from a web browser to see if the file shows up there.
When her Dropbox account is syncing properly again, any changes you or she have made to 1Password should (finally) sync between your Macs. If not, make sure Dropbox sync is still set up in 1Password on her Mac:
- On her Mac, open 1Password and go to the menu for 1Password > Preferences
- Click the Sync tab and select the shared vault on the left side
- If Dropbox sync is no longer enabled, she'll need to re-enable it, making sure to choose the shared vault in Dropbox (it should prompt to merge the data)

Hi Drew,
Seems like something is still wrong. We have different item counts even though both systems are set to sync to the same dropbox. I even went so far as to disable the sync on both machines and then re-sync. I'm also seeing that our saved credit cards are not syncing. What else might we try?0 -

Have you checked to make sure her Dropbox account is syncing again in general? As I suggested before, you (or she) can move a small file to her Dropbox folder on her Mac, then log into her account on Dropbox.com from a web browser. Does the new file show up in her account on Dropbox.com? If not, Dropbox isn't working on her Mac. If she's no longer exceeding her Dropbox storage, she should check the Dropbox app preferences on her Mac to make sure syncing is enabled.
If Dropbox is working correctly on her Mac, but 1Password isn't syncing, follow these steps to make sure 1Password on each Mac is syncing with the same keychain file in Dropbox:
- Open 1Password and go to the menu for 1Password > Preferences
- Click the Sync tab and select the shared vault on the left side
- Check the file path for the .agilekeychain file
Remember to check that on each Mac. If the problem is that one is syncing with a different keychain file than the other, that's why the sync isn't working. You'll need to disable the sync, then set it up again and choose the correct keychain file.
