Delete secondary vault and also use vault on two machines

I want to delete a secondary vault that I have just set up because I want a different icon and colour and I can't see a way of changing that once it is set up.

When I have deleted it I will set it up again. How do I use that vault on another device?

    Hi @hunchermuncher,

Unfortunately a vault's details (name, icon, color) cannot be changed after the vault has been added to 1Password. Our developers are looking at making this easier in the future. For now, you can delete & re-add the vault as a workaround, but before doing that, make sure you create a current backup of your data by going to File > Backup in the menu bar of 1Password.

When you're ready, I recommend these steps:

    • Set up Dropbox sync (or Folder sync) for your secondary vault.
    • Delete that vault by going to 1Password > Delete Vault in the menu bar.
    • Re-add that vault by double-clicking its .agilekeychain file in Dropbox (or in the folder you chose, if you used Folder sync).
    • When 1Password prompts you to add the new vault, you can edit the vault name, icon, and color.

How do I use that vault on another device?

You can sync a secondary vault using Dropbox sync, so if you set that up when following the steps above, you're halfway there! :)

Alternately, if you're syncing between your Mac and one or more iOS devices, and you have the latest versions of 1Password 5 for Mac and iOS, you can sync multiple vaults using Wi-Fi sync.

I hope this helps, but please let us know if you have more questions about that!
