Please give me a way to remove duplicates already
i have about 1800 passwords saved in 1Password, and should only be about 900, almost every single item is duplicated. i have no idea how this happened, but i'm not about to go and manually remove all of these.

i have no idea how this happened
But...if you know when it happened it may be feasible to restore from a "clean" 1P backup.
In any event it would be helpful if you'd tell us for a start:
- what version of 1P you are using on your Mac (go to 1P > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there);
- how you sync your 1P data to any other device and the exact version number of 1P on that other device.
(I'm assuming the duplication has to be something to do with sync and have thus assumed you are syncing your 1P data in some way.

Hi @michaelg04,
I can imagine that is extremely annoying. Thankfully that sort of event you tend to notice pretty damn fast so Stephen_C's suggestion of reverting to a backup is the best solution. Assuming you haven't been adding/modifying entries since this happened you can revert to the previous backup with no loss at all. Now synchronisation is disabled when you restore a backup because of the potential for things to go wrong syncing a restored backup with other devices in an unknown state.
So to best assist you it would be useful to know what and how many devices and machines are involved and how you currently sync. It will also be prudent to know if there are any changes since this occurred that we need to save prior to restoration.
Hopefully we can get this sorted out for you without too much fuss.
