bad sync

4 days ago I changed the username and password on a site and saved the new info on one pass. Upon visiting the site later in the day, I found that the username was auto filled with my old username but the password correctly filled in. I tried a few other times with the same result. Then today on trying to login to the same site, I found in my one pass info for that site had reverted the new correct username but that the password reverted to the old one that I had changed from 4 days ago. When checking the one pass app on my Iphone, the username and pass were correct. WTF! Good thing the phone had not synched with my desktop, but they why hadn't they. Does not instill confidence in the onepassword 5.1 update I did.

by the way. Is it possible to change one's username on the agile bits site. I can see how to change the pass but not the username.

    Hi @davegeist,

We don't autofill usernames or passwords so if a site was displaying an old username on loading then it must be your browser. A cookie for example would be the likely culprit. As for the password issue we might need a little more information to discern what has happened.

You have a Mac and at least one iOS device by the sounds of it. On which platform did you update the Login item? Given you say the iPhone has the correct details and hasn't synced with the desktop it sounds like it was on the iPhone? I'm guessing then you were trying to log in on your Mac and it hadn't synced? Can I ask, what sync method are you using and have you tried creating a new test item to see if syncing doesn't seem to be happening at all or if it's the updated item alone that hasn't synced?

As you can see, there are a few questions there. Once we gain a better idea of what happened and where we can try working out what has gone wrong. Basically the more detail you can supply then hopefully the quicker we can establish where it broke down.

I'm not actually aware of many sites that let you change your username after creation. These forums are one of them. Can I ask, is there a reason you were hoping to change it? If you'd rather not say in a post in this thread then you can message me here on the forums.
