A hide door to accessing 1password from my Mac and iPhone
I love your software. I use it on my Macs, iPhone and iPad.
I wonder if you have thought in providing a “facade” for entering 1 password. Instead of clicking the logo of 1 password, that is two evident that is holding all your critical information, you should be capable of defining a not so evident route of entry (a game image, or whatever other general purpose app). That will work not only for the portable devices, but also for the desk top computers. The app could even be functional with a simple game or whatever.
… Just an idea.
The loyalty with 1 password brand and agile bits, you have all inside the application. With what I am proposing you are increasing one level of security.

Hi @Jeronimo,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us with your suggestion! If I understand, your idea is to disguise the 1Password app with a different icon and file name, and possibly make it open to simple game, so someone else using your Mac (or other device) wouldn't know you're using 1Password?
First, I think it's great that you're thinking strongly about the security of your data and coming up with ideas to make it even more secure! :) Having said that, one problem is that Apple is very strict about impersonating another app, so we wouldn't be allowed to do something like that in our Mac/iOS App Store versions.
Also, disguising the 1Password app may not really add an adequate extra level of security. If we added a feature like that, it would be public knowledge, and therefore very easy for people to know what disguise to look for on your device. In addition to that, if someone has access to your computer, they'd still be able to see the 1Password files & folders in the Library folder of your Mac, or the 1Password.agilekeychain on your Windows PC, and so on.
However, none of those files/folders would be of any use to someone else as long as they don't know your master password. The best way to keep your 1Password data safe & secure is to choose a good master password that only you know, and that no one else will be able to guess. We have tips for creating a strong but memorable master password here: Toward Better Master Passwords
If you're interested in what makes 1Password so secure, we have a lot of very useful information in our Security Knowledgebase.
Of course, we never say never, and I think your idea is interesting, but I wanted to explain why it's not something our developers have included in 1Password. But I like the way you're thinking, and if you have more feedback or suggestions for 1Password, please let us know, we'd love to hear more! :)
