SYNCING from iMac to new MacBook
I consider myself to be of average intelligence at least. Syncing iOS devices over wiFi was intuive enough. I'm trying to sync 1Password5 to a new MacBook and it's anything but intuitive to me. I'm still on the trial plan. I'll give it one more shot and then go another route all together. No online chat? No email support?

Wifi sync does not currently support direct sync between Macs - but only between a Mac and an iOS device. To sync between Macs you need to use Dropbox or iCloud (supported only if you bought 1P5 from the Mac App Store as opposed to from the AgileBits store). Alternatively, and rather more complex technically, you could try using folder sync.
There is a sort of work around which uses an iOS device as a bridge between the Macs but it's not elegant.

Hi @lifeontheverge,
As Stephen_C as stated at the moment you cannot sync Mac to Mac using Wi-Fi. While you can use an iOS device as a bridge our own devs don't recommend it even though it is possible. The reason it isn't recommended is certain sync data is lost when you disable sync and that is what you would continually be doing to use an iOS device as a bridge.
If you have personal reasons against the cloud sync offerings then it would limit you to Folder Sync as Stephen_C has linked you to already.
Now as to our methods of support. We encourage people to use the forums at the moment because our email system was becoming overloaded and people we receiving less than satisfactory response times. We're finally on top of the massive increase in support requests since we released 1Password 5 but it has taken months to get there. While it may not seem like it the forums are a good way to receive support. We do our upmost to review and respond to every thread and we have some fantastic community moderators how help out hundreds of people with their time and knowledge of 1Password.
If you have any specific questions regarding the different types of syncing we have please do ask.
