iCloud Drive not appearing as a sync choice
Just installed 1P 5 on my MacBook Pro running 10.10.1 and unable to set up syncing. Was having trouble with 4, actually, which was what prompted me to update to 1P 5. My only options to sync in the drop down are 'none' 'dropbox' or 'folder.' I signed out of my iCloud account (removing data from my Mac, etc,) rebooted my computer, logged back into iCloud in sys prefs and enabled iCloud Drive. Re-launched 1P 5 and still no iCloud option appearing for sync. I don't get the 'not available' message, it's just not in the drop down. Help??

Where did your copy come from? Did you buy it directly from AgileBits? If so, Apple made a decision with the release of Yosemite that closed off iCloud syncing for applications that aren't sold by Apple in one of their App Stores.

Sorry I neglected to mention, but I downloaded it from the AgileBits web site. Sounds like you answered my question then! I'll go back and re-do that, get it from the app store and see what happens. Thanks!!

Are you using the free trial version? You can use that for 30 days, then decide if you want it. And if iCloud sync is important to you and you buy from Apple, there are directions here to make that transition if you buy from the Mac App Store. Post back, if that would be your plan, and I'll scare up the URL for those.
Apple does not offer free trials for anything.
I've been happy with Dropbox for syncing.

Hi @valcreighton,
It sounds like hawkmoth has already answered your question. In case you're curious, we have more information about this in our Web store and iCloud FAQ. Also, although iCloud sync is only available in the Mac App Store version of 1Password 5, Dropbox and Wi-Fi sync are available in both the Mac App Store and web store versions.
If you have more questions or need any help, just let us know! :)
