Synchronizing vaults

Hello,

I created a secondary Vault. When you make changes on a secondary Vault, it does not update the Primary one. Is this normal?

Hi @Tino,

Yes, that's normal. Each vault is isolated from each other, nothing is shared. That's why you can sync your secondary vault(s) with your family, friend, and/or co-workers without them being able to see anything or affect anything from the rest of your vaults stored in your 1Password database.

Are you asking about an item you shared from the primary vault to the secondary vault? If yes, that is more of duplicating the item with the same UUID than sharing the same copy between both vaults. If you share the item back from the secondary vault to the primary vault, 1Password will prompt to ask if you want to update the item in the primary item, it knows it is the same based on the UUID of the item, it'd match in both vaults.
