I am eligible for an upgrade - why should I have to pay full price in order to get iCloud support?
It is NOT ACCEPTABLE that all of us who are eligible for upgrade pricing have to give that up in order to get the iCloud support that is a key feature of your product. How can I get the license with the full functionality at the $24.99 price you say I am entitled to. Don't just tell me all us users in this position are out of luck. You need a solution to this.

Hi @wgrobison,
There is no way to offer a selective discount in Apple's Mac App Store (MAS). We can't offer a discount to somebody because we want to be nice, we can't offer a discount because they were previously a customer in our own store, we can't even offer a discount to MAS users should the next version of 1Password be a paid upgrade. This is a limitation in Apple's App Store. There is also no way to mass migrate users either, again the facility simply does not exist.
What we did do at the time of Yosemite and 1Password 5 being released was to discount the MAS version for a couple of months but we can't do so indefinitely.
Unfortunately this is where we are since Apple are now enforcing restricted access to iCloud frameworks. Only applications and apps purchased through Apple's stores are allowed to access these frameworks and so unless there is a significant policy shift it remains unlikely that our Agile Web Store (AWS) version will be able to support iCloud support going forward.
All I can do is apologise and point you towards the announcement Dave Teare made regarding this matter, iCloud Changes in the Website Version of 1Password 5.
