I purchased the newest 1Password program, replacing the previous one. Now I can open the program but as soon as i try to edit to view passwords it asks for me to "Buy Now" or "Add License". The program is now unusable as a result. Any advice? I cannot find a telephone number or email to help me solve the problem.

@joffeleo - I deleted your email address to keep the spam bots from harvesting your address from this public forum. Also, I've moved your post to a new thread, since your issue is unrelated to the rest of it.

Can you let us know where you bought your license? AgileBits's web store? Or the Mac Apps Store? Also, take a iook at the first post at the top of this forum about unexpected license expired notices, and let us know if that helps you. Here is the direct link.

  • Hi @Joffeleo,

I'm sorry that you're going through this. Our purchase experience needs a lot of love. It sounds to me like you've purchased a license, but you may not have applied the license to the app.

When you purchased the license, you should have gotten an email from us. This email should contain two links, one titled 'click here to automatically add your license'. If this is available as a link, clicking it should result in 1Password registering your license. Sometimes it doesn't show up as a link though (especially through Gmail and other webmail providers). There's another link underneath it with a title of 'View the complete installation steps.' That one should always work, and should bring you to a page where you can download your license file. Once you have your license file, you just need to double click it and 1Password should do the rest.

Here's the email and where the links are:

Hope this helps. Let us know if you're still having issues.

    Rick
