I think you're referring to what we call the master password and it's not working for you: is that right?
There are some tips here which may help you. If, on the other hand, you have no data at all of value in 1P yet you could start over and set up 1P with a new master password. Do note that doing that will lose you any data already saved in 1P.
As you've not said what version of 1P you're using I've assumed it's either 1P4 or 1P5.

If you are really new, and don't have individual password saved, it would be simplest to start over.
Are you sure your password is correct? (No issues with caps lock, etc). If you have forgotten your master password, there is nothing that AgileBits can do. There is info about common errors in entering master password (such as caps lock).
I doubt if there is a problem with 1PW itself. But just to clarify what is happening, when you enter what you think is the master password, it gets rejected?

As @stephen_c and @danco mention, unfortunately there's nothing we can do about resetting a Master Password. If there was, that would mean that there was a security hole in what we built (if we could do it, any attacker could). As they mentioned, if you have no critical data in there, the best way forward is our Starting Over guide which will wipe 1Password off of your device and you can restart from scratch.
If you have critical data in there, then you'll have to keep trying at the password. There is no maximum number of tries.
