problem with two login entries for the same URL but for two different usernames

Because my wife is not really into computers I keep up with the 1password entries.

Problem: As an example I have two login entries for myql.com. Because her user name starts with an "m" and my username starts with an "r" her login entry for myql.com is listed first.

It seems that when I want to change my password I login and change the password, but 1password pops up a window asking if I want to update my wife's password entry for her myql.com.

How do I stop this?

Is there a way I can separate the two? I was thinking about making vault for my wife and keeping her login entries their. Is this a practical thing to do? If so is there a way I can move login entries from one vault to another similar to drag and drop?

Thanks

Robert

    Hi @rpm4fsu,

There are a couple of possibilities in there.

    1. The Update Login window, does it look a little like this?

If it's in update mode then where the text field for entering a Login title was there should be a drop down menu now. You should be able to select which Login item is to be updated.

    1. You could also create a secondary vault for your wife. If you both use a single user account then it would mean she needs to remember to switch vaults as 1Password will attempt to log into a site using the current vault. That could lead to a few mistaken logins if you both have accounts to a number of places. Still, you may find it's one way. I suppose you could do a search on your wife's email address to filter her login items, then yes, if you select them all you can use Item > Share > Secondary Vault > Copy to copy them all to the secondary or there is a Move command too.

Does that help at all? If you have any followup questions do please ask.
