1Password is damaged...

After updating my iMac to Yosemite, I get the following msg when I attempt to open 1Password app: "1Password is damaged and can't be opened. Delete 1Password and download it again from the App Store."( The 1Password extension in Safari works perfectly.) My concern is after deleting and downloading 1Password, how do I then restore my info. I have 1Password on my iPhone as well, set to sync over wifi, but it is not as current as my iMac. Thanks!

If you just drag the main application out of your Applications folder to the trash, nothing else will follow. Empty the trash, and restart you Mac for good measure. Then return to the Purchases tab of the Mac App Store and download another copy. It will automatically find your data after you answer the question about prior use.

Do NOT use an application cleaner. Those seek out lots of files related to the application, which might well include your data. That would be a catastrophe that you wouldn't want.
