How to change item in one category to another category type?

I have a bunch of email accounts in older standard categories (Login Category). Now I see there are more specific categories I can use (Email category). Is there an easy way to move items in one category (Login) to another category (Email)?

You can't currently easily move an item from one category to another (although it's a frequently voiced request). The reason is that the default fields between categories differ significantly. You may find what you need to do is made easier by finding a relevant item in 1P mini, highlighting it then clicking on the anchor symbol (bottom left of the displayed window) to anchor the item to your desktop while you work on it. Sorry not to have a better suggestion for the moment.

Stephen is correct, it's not currently possible to move an item from one category to another since the fields are different in each category. We're looking at this for the future, though, and may have some better solutions eventually. For now, you would need to copy and paste the data into a new item in the new category.

However, if you need to fill information from that Login item on a website, you'll want to keep that Login item around. This is because Login items can be used to fill your username/password on a website, but Email Account items cannot. However, if you don't use that Login item to fill info on a website, there's no harm in using an Email Account item to store that information instead.
