new license for 1P5
I bought a new license after my trial expired, updated to 1P5, opened same, see the new license number under "License", but can't change anything, add anything etc! What is going on? Oh, and I still see 'trial expired?
Very frustrated.
Someone please help

The license number you see is to allow you to register version 3, should you so desire. 1Password 4 and 5 don't use a license number. They use a license file. The email you received should have a link to click to automatically install that file. If you use gmail, it may be that link was stripped out by gmail, but there is also a link for complete installation instructions. Click that and you'll be taken to where you can download the required file and where the directions for installing it in your copy also reside.

When somebody purchases a 1Password 5 licence we include a licence key for 1Password 3 as you're entitled to run whatever version of 1Password for Mac you need. As of 1Password 4 though we use a licence file and the email should include a link to download said file. I've found that the act of downloading the licence file is enough for 1Password to react and to read it. If not though we do have a page on this at How do I add my license to 1Password?.
If you're finding that following those steps fails at a certain point please let us know at which point and what you're observing instead of what the guide expected you to see.
