Licence expired notice - how to load 1Password4?
Question for Support Team:
I am using iMac:
Running OS X, version 10.9.4 (which I understand is Maverick?).
I am also currently running 1Password 4 (version 4.4.3) which tells me it was downloaded from the Agile web store).
However, when I look at the licence details it tells me that the licence trial has expired, and that I need to purchase a new one. Unfortunately when I look at the options, 1Password 4 is not being offered, and since I do not have OS X Yosemite, my iMac will not run 1Password 5.
Even more interesting is that when I check my records online only 1Password 3 licence Key shows up?
Please can you advise if I need to upgrade/or purchase a new licence and if that will then allow me to sync properly? I am certainly willing to do so if you can provide me with 1Password 4.

1Password 4 has a bug that caused it not to nag some users to pay for a license, even though the trial period expired. Those users were able to continue to use the application fully, even though the trial was over. It sounds to me like you were one of those users. The upgrade from version 3 to version 4 was a paid upgrade, though.
It is true that the only license currently for sale is for version 5, which you can use only if you are using OS X 10.10. But the license file used to register a copy is identical to the one used to register version 4. So you can go ahead and buy the license for version 5, and you'll then also be ready to upgrade to version 5 when the time come without an additional charge.
The version you already have installed is the latest release of version 4, so there is no need to download another copy. However, should you need another copy, you can download one on this page by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page, where links to download legacy versions reside.
Finally, as a licensed user of version 3, you will be eligible for discounted upgrade pricing. You can get that by going to the AgileBits web store and clicking the Upgrade button. You'll be asked for your license information and then given the discounted price for your situation. At the moment there is a sale going on, but I don't know whether that affects upgrades or not.

The same license file works for 1PW4 and 1PW5. So no trouble there.
There is an upgrade fee for going from 1PW3 to 1PW4, and then 1PW5 is a free upgrade from 1PW4 but is only available on Yosemite (OS 10.10).
There was a bug in 1PW4 that, for some people, meant that they were able to use it after the trial period without being told that the trial had expired. I believe this bug was killed.
I suppose the question is whether you think you purchased 1PW4 at some point, or whether you have only bought 1PW3. If you think you purchased 1PW4, could you have used a different email address?

Thanks everyone, i guess i must have a workable licence on the iMac after all, now i just need to understand why it has stopped sync'g fully to my iPad?

@ShawnR - If you're asking for help with syncing, you'll do better at getting help if you post a new thread about that. Also, if you are indeed asking for help, include as much information as you can. What are your version numbers for all devices? What sync method do you use? Did it once work? What happens now?

@ShaunR: First, I would update OS X on your Mac. It sounds like you should be able to get 10.9.5 (you indicated you are running 10.9.4), and these updates include bugfixes that may help you.
Also, the update will restart your Mac, and often a good restart can help sync issues. As hawkmoth suggested, if you continue having trouble sync'ing, go ahead and start a new thread. Tell us a bit about your setup (Dropbox or WiFi Sync, OS versions, symptoms), and we will get things sorted out for you. :)
