trouble getting started
my master password does not seem to work. I typed it in carefully; re-typed it to verify. It change green= ok. But when I went to unlock it during the next step, it wouldn't work. I have tried every possible typing error (although it seems unlikely since I did type it in twice), and it still doesn't work. What can I do? [I can't even seem to delete 1Password from the applications folder so I could start all over again. Can you help me?

@dbd88: I'm sorry you're having trouble! Unfortunately, AgileBits has neither your 1Password data nor the Master Password you used to secure it.
However, there are certainly some things you can try before you start over completely. Please check out this guide and see if some of these tips help. Sometimes we just overlook something. It happens to the best of us!
But again, failing that, you will need to start over; and be sure to guard your Master Password carefully going forward. I hope this helps!
