Help! My primary password works to unlock the 1password app but doesn't work within the app

Hi,

Just set up an account with 1password this morning. I set up my primary password, typed it into a word document, copy and pasted it into the password creation dialogue box and created it. I found afterwords when I would try to type the password directly in it would not work. I went to change the password using the security tab within preferences and the exact same copy and pasted password I used to get into one password comes up as invalid. So basically I can paste the password to open 1password and it works, but to change it, it doesn't. I need some help to get this cleared up.

I'm using 1password 5.1 on Yosemite 10.10.1

    I'm sorry you're having trouble with the master password!

    To make sure I understand, are you currently able to unlock 1Password if you copy & paste your master password from your Word document? Or are you completely locked out of 1Password at this point? Also, are you able to unlock 1Password by manually typing your master password? If so, have you tried manually typing it in the Current Password field when trying to change your master password?

    When you first created that master password by copying/pasting it from the Word doc, is there a chance you accidentally copied an extra space or character? If so, that might explain the problems you've had trying to enter it afterwards.
