since Mac from iOS
Hi there.
I'm about to upgrade my Mac (to Yosemite) and I would like to be able to sync 1Password from my iPhone to the Mac (over wi-fi) once the upgrade is completed.
I understand I can sync iPhone from Mac (I actually do it regularly) but now I'd like to know if it is also possible the vice-versa.
I'd rather not to use iClod or Dropbox but wi-fi
I'm running 1Password for iOS version 5.3 and 1Password for Mac version 4.4.3
Thanks

Yes, there's no problem with that: wifi sync is bi-directional so will pick up the latest entries from both your Mac and your iPhone.

@sig: Just to add to what Stephen_C said, Wi-Fi Sync is meant to work between a single computer and one or more iOS devices (all using 1Password 4 or 5). So if it's a single Mac (v4) and iPhone (v5) you're using you'll be all set. I hope this helps! :)

Thanks for the reply.
1 (iPhone) to 1 (Mac) is my basic scenario but, how if I'd like to sync also my other Macs? Do I have to rely on Dropbox (iCloud)?
Thanks again0 -
Hi @sig,
If you have multiple Macs and you want to avoid using a cloud service for syncing then you still have the option of Folder Sync. Now it was originally designed with a pen drive in mind, AKA sneakernet which is what I would recommend. It can be used over a network with a third party sync tool such as rsync or ChronoSync but this is deemed as advanced usage and you will need to know what you're doing.
Does that help?
