Are we gonna ever get new icons?
Hey guys, just bought 1password and although expensive, i figured I would upgrade from Msecure. The thing is although 1password seems a bit better, Msecure password keeper gives the options to choose MANY different icons for each category that you can decide on. Just wondering if we are gonna get more icons to choose from, or is it just the ones 1password chooses for us?
It would sure be GREAT to update the icon list and let us have some options. Actually, I was hoping the Pro upgrade was just that, but it was not.......
Anyone else feel the same? I mean, for almost a hundred bucks with the Mac app, Pro upgrade, iPhone app, its VERY expensive and kinda feel a bit ripped off. I don't mean to sound bitter, just don't understand why something so simple like icons can't be expanded for us users..

You can add your own icons by editing a relevant item in the main app and double-clicking on the icon to edit the icon.

Sweet. Thanks! How about some more "icon looking" options in the app itself though? It is great I can take a pic after I find one, but would be easier if they were already there. Kinda like Msecure? thanks though

@d.weglarz13: Currently 1Password is able to pull favicons from websites to add them to login items automatically While 1Password also has access to high-res icons for some popular sites, it just isn't wasn't feasible for us to 'curate' a lot of these. Favicons are nice because they are standard (and some really nice Apple-touch-icons now thanks to the popularity of the iPhone and iPad!) If there is a similar standard that could be useful for other types of items that would be a big win for everyone.
While I don't see AgileBits maintaining a huge icon database (we're focused on 1Password's main functionality: secure storage and filling), we will definitely see if this is something we can expand upon in the future. But for now a lot of people enjoy being able to choose their own icons to make it more personal. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! :)

Hey, thanks for the replies guys. I can say that I am loving the usability of the app, and its great to have it on the mac and iPhone. Just kinda figured I would throw it out there for the future, but seems great that we can pick and choose our own for now. Thanks again, and thanks for the great app!

It's great to hear you love the app :smile: while there isn't enough time to add everybody's feature requests we do love to hear what users would like to see 1Password do going forward. Many of the features have been influenced or suggested by users so we do listen to our fans :smile:
That isn't to say we don't listen to the critics, we listen to what everybody has to say as great ideas come from everywhere.
