Syncing with version 3
Good afternoon,
I just tried to install 1Password on a computer, and I'm having some difficulties getting things to work properly. The computer is a little old, and so it's only running OS 10.7 (and so I installed version 3.8.22), and it appears that the only way to sync between this and some iOS devices is via DropBox. Is this in fact the case? I'm trying to set this up for someone a bit less technically literate than me, and having to make them go through the process of setting up a DropBox account may be asking a bit much.
Can this be made to sync easily if the iPhone or iPad is plugged directly into the computer?
Best,
Paul

Hello Paul (@tcmJOE),
Thanks for taking the time to write to us here. How nice of you to help someone set up 1Password on their devices!
Regarding your sync question, with 1Password 3 for Mac, Dropbox is the only way to sync to iOS devices running 1Password 4 or 5. Here's a page that may help configure Dropbox for syncing with 1Password 3. The links to videos on that page no longer work, but the steps are still valid.
However, if the iOS devices are a little bit behind as well, and running 1Password touch (also known as 1Password 3 for iOS), then they can sync via wi-fi.
Hopefully one of these solutions will help you out! And we'll be here if you have any other questions. :)
