Is there a point to TOTP in 1Password?

If someone were to get a hold of my vault and 1Password password, they will know what logins use TOTP and provide them that password. Adding a second step to logging in just makes the process longer and more complicated.

Keeping TOTP out of 1Password makes more sense. If the TOTP came from a device that does not include 1Password, then you have a more secure log-in.

What am I missing?

    You're correct that using TOTP with 1Password doesn't offer second factor security, but you still get the benefits of the one-timeness of TOTP codes.
