Choices to move away from Dropbox

Hi,

Could someone please help me understand what my choices are to move away from Dropbox?
My company is disabling it on our networks so I have no choice.

I have 3 Macs, 2 iPads and 2 iPhones and need a solution to keep the 1Password DB sync'd across all those devices.

    Hi @Hemmerdinger,

    Sorry to hear you're being forced to move away from Dropbox. :(

    Can you let us know where you purchased 1Password for Mac from? If you bought (or are willing to buy) it from the Mac App Store (and you're using the 1Password 5 on OS X 10.10 Yosemite), you can easily use iCloud to sync all those devices. You'd only need to purchase it once in order to install it on all your Macs, as long as you can use the same Apple ID on them all.

    If you're currently using, and want to continue using, 1Password 5 for Mac from the AgileBits Store, you may be able to configure a complete sync solution using a combination of wi-fi sync and folder sync.

    I don't mind buying it again as I use it so much I think it's more than worth the cost.
    Is there a step-by-step guide showing me how to move all my devices from Dropbox sync to iCloud sync?

    Hey @Hemmerdinger,

    That's great to hear. I'll take that to mean that you're currently using the AgileBits Store version and switching to the Mac App Store version.

    You can follow this guide to migrate your data from one version to the other, and then set your sync options to iCloud on your newly installed MAS version and iOS devices.

    That should be a pretty smooth transition, but if you hit any bumps along the way, we're here to help! :)
