Hi,

is there a quick way to open 1Password from the menubar? If not, is it possible to do it from this icon?

    The gearbox button on the right of the Search line gives this option.

    Yeah I already know this. It's more like a feature request, since open 1Password with the gear icon is quite inconvenience ;)

    Hi @nhat,

    Unfortunately the icon you've pointed to currently serves a purpose. When you have more than one vault it acts as a button for selecting the active vault.

    I've seen a post on another forum mention something called Apptivate and you could also create an Automator workflow that you assign a keyboard shortcut to and that should actually work everywhere and not just from the 1Password menu. If either interest you more details can be found on this page. I haven't specifically gone through those steps but I've used Automator once or twice in the past so it should work.

    If that isn't what you have in mind at all we can look into somehow making opening the main 1Password window more prominent but I can't promise anything.

    I find this pretty easy:

    ⌘-Space 1p Enter

    But maybe Right-clicking the gear icon could open 1Password.

    @MrC,

    At first I thought you were referring to Launchpad but then I've realised you might mean Spotlight too. It seems there a a couple of ways to launch 1Password with a few keystrokes.

    Thank you guys for the quick replies. I'm using Alfred and could bind 1Password to a shortcut, but most of the time it works just fine in the background.

    My workflow is like this: Sometime I like to search or organize a few logins and use 1Password mini for that task. Then if I realize that I need to do more, I would open the main windows. So while this is certainly not the most important function, it would still be nice to have a convenience way to open the main window from 1Password mini. Hope this clarify why I asked if there is a way to do that :)
