Tried to update 1P v.3 to latest...new icon not working
Ok this WAS going to be a big long question about how to get my new installation working after I upgraded from version 3.x
BUT....somehow I did something right and I now have the latest version 5.3 working on all three of my browsers (Safari, Fire Fox and Chrome).
NOW my question is...should I disable or completely remove the version 4.3.1.90 that is still showing in my extensions page of my browers? (don't want to proceed till I know what is the right move).
Also...I keep getting a pop up message whenever I open a browser to get the 1Password extension. I already have it so how can I stop this?

One more thing...I did this all on my iMac desktop.
How do I update my macbook Pro? Do I have to go through the whole process again or is there some way to sync it and it will just update automatically? Remember...I still have the old version 3.x on my laptop.0 -
aaaand one more thing....Does anyone know how to stop that annoying pop up that happens from the key symbol in the address window whenever I'm logging into a site? It doesn't matter if I click the "never for this site" tab or not, it just keeps popping up anyways. And it doesn't matter if I'm using 1Password or not either.

Hi @richleaf,
So there are a couple of questions in there to answer.
- Firstly, the latest version of our 1Password Browser extension is 4.3.1 so you want to leave that one installed in your browsers. The extension is on a different development schedule as well as platform independent so it doesn't keep pace with the version numbers of the main application.
- If 1Password 5 is working correctly on your iMac and you're happy that your 1Password 3 vault was successfully migrated then one thing to consider is removing 1Password 3 from your iMac if you no longer need it. Here is a link to our How do I completely uninstall 1Password? guide for 1Password 3. I suspect removing the 1Password 3 browser extension from your browsers may also resolve your final issue of the annoying pop-up. If my assumption is wrong please do let us know. A screenshot of the annoying pop-up may help.
- Can I ask, how were you syncing your iMac and your MacBook Pro before? If you were syncing the two copies of 1Password 3 over Dropbox then you may very well have to do nothing at all to keep them in sync, 1Password 5 should have enabled sync if it found your 1Password.agilekeychain in Dropbox and used it. The easiest way to confirm is to make a test item in your 1Password 5 vault and see if it appears on your MacBook Pro.
Now if you're MacBook Pro is running Yosemite don't forget you're free to use 1Password 5 on as many Macs as you own but it does depend on what version of OS X you're running - it might be 1Password 3 is the latest version compatible. If you're unsure at all simply post the version of OS X you're running and we can let you know.
If you have any follow up questions or I've failed to answer something please do let us know

Thank you for your help. Its a bit confusing but I seem to have both computers up to date and working fine with 1P 5.3 now.
