Some of my entries show the username in one box and then the password in another box. But some entries do not show the username. How can I make the system always show my user name

Do you mean that when you log in using 1P the username does not fill in for some sites? (Sorry if I've misunderstood.) If that is the case, the usual way of fixing the problem is to re-create and save the login manually. If that is the problem you might try that with a recalcitrant site and see if it then works.

    Hi @danmccarter,

That's surprising. We only hide the username or password field if it's empty so it would seem 1Password doesn't think that entry has a username.

Can I ask, does the item fill your username and password properly when you use it? If it does then I would suggest opening the main 1Password window and selecting the Login item in question. If you click on the show web form details button do you see you username in there?

If you do this is what I would recommend.

    1. Click on the Edit button in the bottom right hand corner of the main 1Password window.
    2. Click the show web form details button.
    3. On the line with your username you should two select buttons (each row has them). The first selector will likely say Text and the next will look blank with a couple of little up and down arrows. Click on that button and you should see three options, the top should be a silhouette of a body - select that.
    4. Click the Save button in the bottom right hand corner.

Your username should now be visible at the top of the page. If it isn't for any reason or something else doesn't fit with what I've been describing then don't save, post back here instead with a description of what you were doing and how it differed from what you expected. We can hopefully figure out why and suggest a different course of action
