MacBook Pro Theft
Recently had my car window busted and my bag nabbed by a random burglar while I was inside a restaurant. I have changed my Master Password, and later today I plan on destroying that archive and creating a new archive and importing all my old stuff. Even so, had a couple of questions about hardware theft..
- What measures should I take to prevent this thief's ability to mess with my things should he/she gets access to my local 1Password archive on my Macbook Pro?
- Technically how secure is the local archive to cracking? I doubt this burglar is capable of doing this, but the scenario got me to pose the question.
- Does this merit me requesting all new financial items such as credit cards, etc?
Thanks

Hi @ssApollo18,
I'm sorry to hear about your car and your MacBook! In addition to the steps you've already taken, you'll find some additional information and suggestions in this knowledgebase article: My device was stolen. Is my 1Password data safe?
I think that article should help to answer your questions. In short, the thief won't be able to access your 1Password data as long as they don't know the master password. You might even be able to remotely erase your MacBook if you had Apple's "Find My Mac" feature enabled. The article mentions a couple passwords you might want to change, but overall you shouldn't need to request new credit cards or things like that, as long as that information was only stored in 1Password on that Mac (but if that information was also stored in a non-secure location on that Mac, it's possible the thief might find it).
I hope the article is helpful! If you have any questions about it, please let us know - we're always happy to help!
