Cant delete or do anything to change , it just says loading and doesn't move towards completion of the download.

  • Hi @langhamrr,

Typically when this happens with an app installation / update it can be resolved by restarting your device. Please give that a try and let us know how it turns out.

Ben, tried several times. Nothing changes.

  • Hi @langhamrr

Sorry to hear that did not resolve the issue. If this is still a problem, could you please try downloading the app in iTunes on your computer and syncing it over from there?

    Thanks!

New update also stops 2/3 way through. Can't delete and reinstall app. Have tried turning off I pad and turning back on.

  • Hi @langhamrr,

Have you tried syncing the app over from iTunes on a computer?

    Ben

P.S. Please be sure you're making regular backups of your data! https://support.1password.com/ios-itunes-backups/

Ben, tried syncing the app over computer but nothing has changed. When I go to iTunes, it shows the app with a cloud/arrow(?) next to it. I click on that to load it and it goes around the entire circle and stops. When I check the icon on the iPad it shows 1password as loading , about 2/3 of the way complete and it is frozen there. Can't delete the app. Anything else I can try.

    Hi @langhamrr!

How frustrating! I've had this kind of trouble in the past, but not so persistently! First, I'd like to verify that you're fully shutting down your iPad and turning it back on again.

Then, I have a couple of things you can try:
On your iPad's home screen, give the 1Password a poke or three. Sometimes that's enough to kick the download into gear.

If you go to Updates in the App Store App, what appears to the right of 1Password? There might be a box that says Update, one that says Open, or a circle with a square in the middle. If the circle with the square in the middle is shown, you might be able to stop the download, completely restart your device, and try the download again.

Maybe one of these things will help :)

For your information, I did a "forced reset" of the iPad. Then I went to the App Store and downloaded 1password again. Everything works...

  • Thanks for the update, @langhamrr, I'm glad to hear that helped. If there is anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to contact us.
