Pop-up error on iPhone: 1Password could not find Mac...
I've never had problems syncing 1Password between my Mac and iPhone with wifi. however, I just went to sync on my iPhone and got the message: 1Password could not find a Mac or PC to sync with. Please make syre your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi netwrok and is running 1Password app with Wi-Fi sync option enabled.
When I go to the 1pass "Preferences" tab on my Mac, the "Wi-Fi Server" box is checked. I'm using version 5.5 on my iPhone.

Have you tried re-booting both devices? That can often kick wifi sync back into action. If that doesn't work try rebooting your router and if you're still stuck do please post again. If you do have to post again please tell us what version of 1P for Mac you are using.

Rebooting my iPhone and Mac did not work and my router is not reachable to reboot. I am using 1Password 5 on my Mac and 5.5 on my iPhone. Both say they are up to date.

Hi @Ehrich Weiss ,
Another suggestion is disabling WiFi sync on iOS, and setting it up again. Make a backup in Settings->Advanced->Backups before you try this though.
That may work, but if not, it could be the router causing the issue. It may need to be restarted.
If you have further questions, please reply.
Cheers,

Is there a phone # I can call for support? Typing this out is a pain and I'm not getting anywhere.
When I go to my iPhone (1Password v5.5) and select "Sync with Wi-Fi", it says "Open 1 Password for Mac or Windows and select Window > Wi-Fi Sync or File > Wi-Fi Sync, respectively. Make sure this iPhone and your computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi Network.
When I open 1Password on my Mac (v5), I can go to Window > Wi-fi Sync...but then what? Please don't tell me to reboot my router. I'm in a hotel and that isn't an option.

My apologies. We are a relatively small company and do not have a call center available for folks to call in to. These forums are our primary means of support.

That may be the problem. It isn't at all uncommon for hotel routers to be setup to prevent communication between client devices on the network (either intentionally or unintentionally). To work around this you may be able to sync over an Ad Hoc network. Please give this a try following these instructions:

If that still does not work, I'd like to ask you to create some Diagnostics Reports, one from each of your devices.

https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.htmlAttach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. We can also discuss alternate support options via email, once we receive the reports. Thanks very much!

Here are screenshots of my iPhone. Under "Choose a sync method", Wi-Fi used to automatically come up and now it doesn't. Can you please help me get this sync'ed?

Sorry - just saw it. Let me finish reading your post but I can tell you that I've only been in the hotel for a few days. The "sync" issue has been going on for weeks, even when I was at home so I don't think it's a router issue.

No worries. If that is the case I don't imagine an ad hoc network will make much difference, but it is worth a shot anyway. If it doesn't have any effect, please go ahead and send the diagnostic reports.
:)

Hi - I was able to create an "Ad Hoc" network and get it synced-up! I'll let you know if I have issues over the next week. Thanks!

Excellent. If an ad hoc network works and another network does not that does point to the problem being with the network itself. If you have issues at home as well those are issues we could troubleshoot.
Thanks!

Uggg. My 1Password on my iPhone has fixed itself ad I can now connect to my home wi-fi without creating an Ad-Hoc connection. However, on my 1Password on my iPad, my home network no longer shows up. How do I get my home network to show up? Like I said, it shows up on my iPhone but not my iPad.

As a work around, since my home wi-fi name isn't showing up on my iPad, I tried to create an Ad-Hoc on my Mac. However I get this message:
Wi-Fi has the self-assigned IP address <I've deleted the address here> and will not be able to connect to the Internet.
So then my iPad sync times out since there's no Ad-hoc wi-fi connection.

Thanks for writing back. I'm not entirely sure I follow. The iPad itself does not show your home network in the list of available networks to connect to? If so that wouldn't be related to 1Password...
Does your iPad connect to other WiFi networks? Has it connected to your home network previously? What changes have you made to your home network since the last time the iPad connected?
This may be beyond the scope of what we can troubleshoot, if the problem is indeed that your iPad cannot connect to your network.

My iPad does connect to my home network and works fine. However, when I open 1Password > Settings > Sync > Start Syncing my options are Sync with iCloud, Sync with Dropbox and Sync with WiFi. When I select "Sync using WiFi" my home network does not show up. All that shows up is the Ad-Hoc network I created, which does not work. How do I get my home network to show up? It used to automatically just show up. Now it seems to default with iCloud, under "Choose a Sync method" but my version of 1Password does not allow iCloud syncing. Attached is a screenshot of 1Password in the "Sync" section.

I'm not seeing the attachment. Could you please send that, along with a diagnostic report from each device to us?

Got it - I just sent both diagnostic reports. And here's the screenshot from my 1Password "Sync" page. My home network does not show up. It used to and it does show up on my 1Password "Sync" on my iPhone.

If I click on "Sync with Wi-Fi", my home network isn't there, either.

Hi @Ehrich Weiss - looking at your screen shot I see that Airplane mode is on - you can see a tiny airplane icon at top left. Can you go to Settings and toggle it off and see if this helps. Thanks!

No, that doesn't help. The only wi-Fi network that shows up in my 'Wifi Sync" in 1PAssword is the Ad-Hoc one someone instructed me to create earlier. And that one times out and won't sync. I can't see my home wi-fi network on my iPad (in Wi-Fi Sync). the wi-fi works otherwise.

And sorry - the issue is with my iPad not my iPhone. iphone syncs fine and my home wi-fi network shows up. I sent you the iPad diagnostic report a second ago. Ignore the iPhone one!

Thanks fir trying that @Ehrich Weiss - I will reply to your email.
