Lost password for 1 vault
Do I need separate master passwords for different vaults, if I am the only one, who has access to the vaults?
I have three different vaults. I lost the password to the last one. What can I do?

I assume the "different vaults" to which you refer are secondary vaults, so that you have one primary vault (the master password for which you know) and some secondary vaults (the master password for one of which you have forgotten). None of the vaults are shared with anybody else. Is all of that correct?
If so, your secondary vault master passwords are stored (hidden from you) in your primary vault. If you have forgotten the master password to a secondary vault it will still unlock if you unlock your primary vault but you will not able to unlock it without unlocking your primary vault.
If you want to change that you could create a new secondary vault (and store the password for it in an item in your primary vault, so you remember it ;) ), move the items to the new secondary vault from the old secondary vault and delete the old secondary vault. My only warning is that I'm unsure if, when you go to delete the old secondary vault, you will be prompted for the master password for it...even if you have your primary vault unlocked at that stage.

Hi Stephen,
This sounds great. I will try it tomorrow morning (in Stuttgart, Germany, it is Sunday 9:50 PM) and post the result here.
Thank you very much,

Hi @littlebobbytables and @Stephen_C
Sorry, my schedule for the day exploded this morning. I have just finished to set up a new secondary vault, to move the content of the old one and to delete this. Everything worked fine. ;-) My new passwords are both, secure (more than 40 digits) and easier to remember (for me). I have stored them at 2 different places.
Thank you for your help!
Axel
