Reinstalled the app after forgetting my master, but still wants the old password when syncing
Trying to reinstall 1Password after forgetting the master password, following the online directions of uninstalling, reinstalling and restarting the device, but it is still asking or looking for the old password, I cannot go forward.
I am trying to my iPhone 6 as well. Same issue

I think we need a little more explanation, please. I am puzzled by this comment in your post:

What was the device to which you referred in the first paragraph of your post, on which you were trying to start over? I'm assuming it wasn't the iPhone.
Also, when you post again please tell us:
- If relevant, what version of 1P for Mac you are using
- What version of 1Password for iOS you are using
- If relevant, what sync method you use to sync your 1P data (Dropbox, iCloud or wifi)

@dave_the_man: Indeed, if you're syncing the same data right back, it will require the same Master Password. You have a couple options:
I hope this helps. Please let me know how it turns out! :)

I am using 6.0.2 of 1Password, forgot the master, am using an iPad Air 2, and realized this when attempting to use the app on my iPhone. I setup fingerprint I.D. on the iPad, but reset it to off when attempting to clear it out, implementing a "clean slate" but failing at this: uninstalling the app on both devices, restarting both devices and reinstalling on both did not reset. I am wondering if the iCloud syncing is linked to the email I am using?
I cannot remember the Master Password, hence my problem, and can't open the app now to reset any iCloud data.

@dave_the_man: Yes. You're logged into your Apple ID for iCloud. So if you reinstall the app and sync with iCloud again, you'll end up with the same data with the same Master Password. So you'll need to reinstall the app and setup a new vault with iCloud disabled. Then you can reset 1Password's iCloud data and setup iCloud Sync. :)

As explained, I couldn't get into the app to reset anything, but ended up using a different email that allowed me to finally clear it, but I stuck with the new email anyway.
Thanks for the replies!
