The Safari extension works fine on my iPhone but I can't get it to work on my iPad. When I try to use it, it asks for my master password, even if 1Password is open. When I type the password and enter it, nothing happens.
I'm using iOS 9.1 on my iPad Air. The 1Password extension version on my iMac is 4.4.4. I don't know how to find the version number on my mobile devices.

@pilipo: What are your security settings? If Lock on Exit is enabled, then any time you switch away from 1Password (which would include switching to another app, where you then use the extension) will cause 1Password to lock and require the Master Password.

When I type the password and enter it, nothing happens.

Can you be more specific? Maybe a screenshot would help. To include it in your reply, simply click the document button in the top of the comment field, and select the file you wish to share:

Please let me know what you find. I look forward to hearing back from you! :)

Hi, I'm having the same problem. Works on iPhone, not on iPad Air. IOS 9.1 on both devices. Lock on exit not enabled

@JohnHolliday: Sorry for the trouble! It sounds like you have an iPad Air (1). Is that correct? What 1Password and iPhone versions are you using? Try restarting the device to see if that resets things. Are all of your settings in 1Password the same on both devices? Thanks in advance! :)

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Yes iPad Air 1. Have restarted theniPadmand still not working
iPhone 5s, IOS9.1. 1Password 6.0.2 - works fine - go to website in Safari - hit share - hit 1Password - unlock using Touch ID (if it's not already unlocked) and get options to log in
iPad Air 1, IOS 9.1, 1Password 6.0.2 - doesn't work - visit website in Safari - hit share - hit 1Password - unlock with master password (even if it's already unlocked and in the 10 minute window) - 1Password unlocks - hit share again - asks me for master password again - I.e no options to fill field ...

  • Hi @JohnHolliday ,

Try it again one more time. Then, I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html

Attach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!

    Regards,
    Kevin

I just tried it again, this time it asked me for the 4 digit pin and it worked. But when I tried it again it didn't. Then I got the error above again

@JohnHolliday: That's very odd indeed. I see that we've received your email, so we can continue the conversation there. We'll take a look at the diagnostics and get back to you. We'll get to the bottom of this! :)

  • Hi @JohnHolliday ,

I took a look at your report, and didn't see anything odd there. I'd like you to try this.

    1. On your iPad, go to Settings->Security in the 1Password app.
    2. Turn off Lock on Exit if it's turned on.
    3. Turn off PIN, and then turn it on again. You will need to re-enter your PIN.
    4. Tap Lock Now and enter you master password when asked.
    5. Quit 1Password and relaunch. It should ask you for your PIN.

After that, try it in Safari again, and let me know how it works out.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
