Someone else's Private Data Showing up with a Client of Mine! [Wendy Appleseed; no compromise]
Good Day,
I have a client who just called me and said he had private account information and account data from another person living in Chicago mixed with his; he lives in Texas. He does not know this woman at all. Any ideas on what might be causing this and can we assume she is seeing his private information?
What can be done to protect them both?

Is the user in Chicago named Wendy Appleseed? Your client likely is seeing the Demo vault that is there so a user can show how others how 1Password works without revealing anything personal. The most recent update added the ability for users to see all vaults, and, in fact, it defaults to showing all vaults.
If this is the issue, your user can suppress the Demo vault by deleting it completely, or going into the 1Password settings and selection Vaults, then All Vaults. There a user can chose which vaults appear in the All Vaults view. AgileBits developers are working on excluding the Demo vault from the All Vaults view by default.

That's hilarious; well not really. He called me in a panic this morning and I did not dig deep enough to uncover the issue of sample data. Sorry for wasting people's time here!

@geeks4rent - Not a waste at all. And your client is not the first to have panicked over the sudden appearance of unfamiliar data. It will be good for everyone's blood pressure when this database stops appearing by default.

@Bernfrin: Sorry for the confusion! The Demo vault is not shown by default; it only shows up for those who create it on their device, in Settings > Vaults. And while I can understand that someone might do this and forget, hopefully Master Passwords aren't forgotten as easily, as there isn't an escape hatch there. :dizzy:
