I am very concerned that I can view Wendy Appleseed's private information . If I as it appears many others can view this information, who says someone else can view mine!!! There is NOTHING private with 1Password!!
It also appears that you give us the information FOR US to correct this!! Why are you not fixing the problem!!!??? Is this Wendy Appleseed even a real person???
FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!

Wendy Appleseed is a fictitious person. What you are seeing is the demo vault used when you wish to show other individuals how to use 1Password without revealing your personal information.

In the latest release of iOS the team introduced the "All Vaults" feature and this shows you info across all vaults. Including the demo vault. The demo vault is local to your device only *unless you set it up for syncing (highly unlikely).

You are not the only one to express concern over this. The last mention, that I saw from a team member was that some type of change was slated for a upcoming release to address the issue. I am not staff and therefore not privy to developmental conversations.

  • Hi @smiley61,

Sorry for the scare. As thightower mentioned "Wendy Appleseed" is a person we made up and use for our demo vault. The details you see are not a real person's details (e.x. the sample credit card is not a valid credit card). We are working on an update so that the demo vault is not included in the "All Vaults" view, which is now the default view.

    Thanks!

    Ben

@smiley61: And to be clear, the demo vault isn't enabled by default. In order for it to show up in any version of 1Password you'd need to have created it in the settings (or menu in the Mac version). Cheers! :)
